KEY-IN-SENSE & PUSH WIRE ROUTING

1. Route the remote start harness YELLOW/BLUE and BROWN/BLACK wires along with the im-

mobilizer interface ribbon cable behind the vehicle’s steering column harness to protect the

wires from any potential damage from the steering column cover and tilt and telescopic steer-

ing wheel mechanism. (FIGURE Z)

2. Using (2) supplied, short wire ties, secure the remote start harness wires to the vehicle’s har-

ness. (FIGURE Z)

CAUTION: EXTREME CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO ROUTE THE REMOTE START HARNESS

AWAY FROM THE STEERING COLUMN ADJUSTER SPRING.

CAUTION: FAILURE TO ROUTE THE REMOTE START HARNESS WIRES PROPERLY COULD

RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE WIRES DURING RE-ASSEMBLY. IF THE YELLOW/BLUE OR

BROWN/BLACK WIRES ARE SHORTED TO GROUND, THE SMART-KEY SUBSET WILL GET

DAMAGED AND NEED TO BE REPLACED.
